How do I notify the credit union of my travel plans?

It’s easy! Just submit our online Travel Notification Form and we’ll notate your account accordingly. Access the form here.

How do I place a stop payment on a check or an electronic debit (ACH)?

It’s easy! Just submit our online Stop Payment Form and we’ll take it from there. Access the form here.

What is the bank routing number for UTFCU?

The nine digit bank routing number can be found at the bottom of your checks. It is 264279800.

What commands do I use for text banking?
  • BAL Displays the current account balance for all enabled accounts.
  • BAL <account nickname> Displays the current account balance for the account that you specify. (Example: BAL SAV)
  • HIST <account nickname> Displays the recent history for the account that you specify. (Example: HIST CHK)
  • XFER <from account nickname> <to account nickname> <amount> Transfers the amount that you specify from one account to another. (Example: XFER CHK SAV 50.00)
  • LIST Displays a list of all available text banking commands.
  • HELP Displays the UTFCU webpage with Text Banking FAQs.

Who owns a credit union?

As a member, you own the credit union. Your membership entitles you to one share of the organization regardless of the size of your account. As an owner, you can vote on important issues requiring a membership vote such as board of director elections. At UTFCU, every member is an owner.

How do I reorder checks?

Online check reorders are placed through Online Banking. If you have previously ordered checks from us, simply sign into Online Banking, click the Check Services menu and select Check Reorder. If you haven’t placed a check order call 865.971.1971 or 800.264.1971 to speak to one of our call center representatives today or email us here.

Do I qualify for free checks?

Members with Generations Gold benefits receive 3 boxes of free checks within 12 months. Members with Best Years accounts are eligible for one free box of checks each year.

What if I want to receive my statements electronically?

You can sign up for eStatements through Online Banking. No more snail mail! It’s secure and the quickest way to receive statement information. Log into Online Banking and select the eStatements tab at the top of the page.

What types of Online Banking services do you offer?

UTFCU offers online access to all of your accounts with free online bill pay, eStatements, check images, secure check reordering, account transfer, and history. Watching your money has never been this easy!

How do I set up an account for my college student?

UTFCU now offers online account opening and funding. This means that you can apply for membership and then use your debit or credit card to fund your student’s account. Click here to get the process started online!

Where can I find a list of your ATM locations?

Members have access to ATMs in the Easy Street, and CO-OP networks. We have a list of all UTFCU ATMs here.

Are my funds insured?

Yes. The NCUA Insurance Fund insures all types of deposits received by a credit union in its usual course of business. For example, savings accounts, share draft (checking) accounts, money market accounts, and share certificates are all insured. Your funds are federally insured to at least $250,000 and backed by the full faith and credit of the United States Government and the National Credit Union Administration, a U.S. Government Agency.
